Willing to be In God’s Will

Jeremiah 26:14-15 – 14 As for me, here I am, in your hand; do with me as seems good and [b]proper to you. 15 But know for certain that if you put me to death, you will surely bring innocent blood on yourselves, on this city, and on its inhabitants; for truly the Lord has sent me to you to speak all these words in your hearing.”

The worse thing to do when caught in a riptide is fight it. Once you submit yourself to the current, you will be able to escape the danger. Jeremiah, being threatened with death after speaking against Judah said, “14 As for me, here I am, in your hand; do with me as seems good and proper to you.” What a powerful statement. Jeremiah was not fighting God’s will, but was willing to be in God’s will. Because he submitted, he was spared from death and continue to preach God’s Word. It will always be wiser and safer to be willing to be in God’s will. If we are in His will, we are a part of His way.
