What If You Could Go Back?

Micah 7:19 – 19 He will again have compassion on us, And will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins Into the depths of the sea.

I recently saw a television commercial for an insurance company where a man had been involved in a car accident. As he laid in the hospital bed, he asked himself “what if I could go back?”. His context was to go back before the accident and prevent it from happening. As Christians, we too may ask ourselves the same question — “what if I could go back?”

Today’s scripture reminds us that we don’t necessarily get the chance to go back, but when we repent and ask for forgiveness, “He will again have compassion on us, And will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins Into the depths of the sea.” Through Jesus’ resurrection, we no longer need to worry about going back because God has given us the ability to move forward. We can experience each day and moment free of guilt and shame because Jesus defeated evil, sin and death on Easter Sunday. Never forget the gift of grace and forgiveness that we all have been given.

I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
