1 Peter 2:23-25 – 23 who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; 24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. 25 For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
Have you ever noticed that the Bible says that Jesus was hung on a tree? What does that mean, what does that represent? Well, the sign of the tree, the tree that Jesus hung on was a sign of salvation, grace and mercy. I do not think it is a coincidence that the Lord has placed so many trees on this earth. In fact, you cannot go outside and not see trees all around you. Those trees that we see everyday are reminders of the Lord’s love, grace and mercy that He offers to us. They also are an offer of salvation for those that choose to believe, repent, and confess. I pray that the next time you see a tree, you will remember what it truly represents.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
