Salt Is Good!

Luke 14:34-35 – 34 “Salt is good; but if the salt has lost its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? 35 It is neither fit for the land nor for the dunghill, but men throw it out. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

Salt serves several purposes for us. It can be used to preserve food and it can also be used to bring out flavor in food. If salt has lost its flavor, then it becomes useless. Jesus used this analogy to show what can happen to Christians. As Christians, our purpose is to tell others about Jesus Christ (the Great Commission). If we fail to do that (if our salt has lost its flavor), then we are not fulfilling the purpose we were created for. In other words, as Christians, we become useless. I pray that each day you will fulfill your purpose and calling that the Lord has placed on your life, I pray that you will be the salt that the world needs.

I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
