Numbers 21:1-4 – 21 The king of Arad, the Canaanite, who dwelt in the South, heard that Israel was coming on the road to Atharim. Then he fought against Israel and took some of them prisoners. 2 So Israel made a vow to the Lord, and said, “If You will indeed deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities.” 3 And the Lord listened to the voice of Israel and delivered up the Canaanites, and they utterly destroyed them and their cities. So the name of that place was called Hormah.
I always encourage people to pray about all things and in all situations. I also encourage people to “make your prayers count”. In other words, make sure that what we are praying for is grounded in the Lord and will ultimately honor the Lord. In today’s passage we read, “2 So Israel made a vow to the Lord, and said, “If You will indeed deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities.” Israel prayed so that God would be glorified. Pray for all of the things you want and desire in this life, but make sure that those things you want and desire will ultimately point people to the Lord and honor Him. Knowing that God answers every prayer, make your prayers count.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
