Genesis 50:19-21 – 19 Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? 20 But as for you, you meant evil against me; butGod meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. 21 Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them.
Some of the most difficult words to say are “I forgive you”. People have hurt us, spoken bad about us, sought to do evil against us, yet, the Bible tells us to forgive. Sounds hard, but not impossible. A great example of one who forgave in the Bible is Joseph. His brothers sought to do harm but still came to him asking for forgiveness. In response Joseph said,”Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” Joseph forgave because Joseph understood that God was in control. “you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good”. Forgiveness has nothing to do with those that mean evil against us, but has everything to do with us trusting the Lord. I pray today that you will be able to say “I forgive you”.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
