God’s Timing, Not Ours

Acts 17:16-18 – 16 Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was provoked within him when he saw that the city was given over to idols. 17 Therefore he reasoned in the synagogue with the Jews and with the Gentile worshipers, and in the marketplace daily with those who happened to be there. 18 Then certain Epicurean and Stoic philosophers encountered him. And some said, “What does this babbler want to say?”

One of the most difficult aspects of our walk with the Lord is waiting on God’s timing. So often, we want God to move in our lives, but we seem to be in this perpetual holding pattern. Maybe it isn’t that God has us in a holding pattern as much as it is that He just wants us somewhere else instead. The next time you feel like God is not responding to your prayers in a timely manner, remember that it might just be because He has a different plan/purpose for you at that time.

I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
