Faith Over Fear

Acts 4:1-4 – Now as they spoke to the people, the priests, the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees came upon them, being greatly disturbed that they taught the people and preached in Jesus the resurrection from the dead. And they laid hands on them, and put them in custody until the next day, for it was already evening. However, many of those who heard the word believed; and the number of the men came to be about five thousand.

It was risky for the early church to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Jewish people. Yes, it was risky, but it was what Jesus had commanded them to do. For the early church, things happened because they chose faith over fear. Yes, it was risky, but as we read of the early church, it was well worth it. They chose faith so that others could too. You may be hesitant to share your belief with others, however, stand firm and strong — choose faith over fear. As you share your faith, it allows others to receive it and accept it. As long as we are within the will of God, there is never any risk, but there will always be reward.
