Evil Will Never Stand

Jeremiah 41:11-15 – 11 But when Johanan the son of Kareah and all the captains of the forces that were with him heard of all the evil that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had done, 12 they took all the men and went to fight with Ishmael the son of Nethaniah; and they found him by the great pool that is in Gibeon. 13 So it was, when all the people who were with Ishmael saw Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces who were with him, that they were glad. 14 Then all the people whom Ishmael had carried away captive from Mizpah turned around and came back, and went to Johanan the son of Kareah. 15 But Ishmael the son of Nethaniah escaped from Johanan with eight men and went to the Ammonites.

Take comfort that the evil and violence that is happening in the world today is not new, in fact, in Genesis 6:11 it tells us that “the earth was filled with violence.” Why? Because in Genesis 3 we read that sin entered the world. Just like Johanan in today’s passage, it is up to Christians to rise up, preach the Gospel and be the light into the growing darkness around us. Now, more than ever, this world needs God. May the Lord use you today to stand up and be the light into this world. May you proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to those around you. Evil will not and cannot stand against our God.

I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
