Be Proud of Whose You Are

Acts 4:8-12 – Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, 10 let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. 11 This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ 12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Peter had many “mistakes” with Jesus early in his walk with the Lord. He had questioned Him, he had denied Him, He even hid from Him when Jesus hung on a cross. Yet, Peter’s life teaches us that our past does not have to define our present or future. Peter had learned from his mistakes and, when it mattered most, Peter stood strong and firm for Jesus. Some are quick to say they are a Christian, yet, when things get uncomfortable or threatening, they act like Peter and forget Him, deny Him or hide from Him. Never be ashamed of Jesus because Jesus is never ashamed of you. Be proud of whose you are and live your life in such a way so that everyone knows it.
