James 1:1 – 1 James, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings.
Several times in the Bible we read of people referring to themselves as “a bondservant”. In fact, Jesus even called himself a servant when He told us all that He came to serve and not be served. If we are called to be bondservants, what does that mean? A bondservant is one who serves another. When we are bondservants for Christ, we are telling the world that we are here to serve our Savior and not ourselves. We do this by loving as Jesus loved, serving as Jesus served, submitting as Jesus submitted.
I pray for blessings today for you on your Journey!
